Based in Huancayo, Peru,Sharing Dreams is a civil non-profit organization created by volunteers in 2009 in accordance with Peruvian law. Our main objective is to create a free volunteer community that improves the quality of life of the poorest people in Peru focusing on child development.
Our programs have been designed to help children develop the skills and confidence they will need for their future success in life. We want to promote cultural exchange by offering unique opportunities for volunteers to work directly with the community.
First and foremost, our objective is to positively impact the lives of children who live in the poorest communities of Huancayo and the rest of Peru by helping them develop the skills to succeed at the social and emotional level.
We want to create a free and efficient volunteer community that has a real effect on the lives of the inhabitants of Huancayo.
We also wish to promote cultural exchange between our volunteers and the local community by giving them the opportunity to work directly with the citizens of Huancayo. Volunteers have much freedom in creating programs to suit their individual strengths and talents.
Furthermore, we aspire to promote greater ecological, social, economic and educational consciousness in order to protect the environment and biodiversity and to protect the rich cultural inheritance of Peru.
